What are the Awards about?

Who can apply for the Awards?

Participant must be a full-time employee at Aster DM Healthcare having an Oracle Aster Connect ID.
The Award is open to all employees from India and GCC regions of Aster DM Healthcare.
Both the nominator and nominee should have spent minimum 2 years in the organisation as on March 31, 2025.
The impact of the initiative entered by the participant in any category must have been implemented between 1st April, 2024, and 31st March 2025, except for Clinical Excellence for Doctors. For the 'Clinical Excellence in Doctors' category, the publications/ research papers submitted by the participants can be from last 5 years as on 31st March 2025. The impact assessment of this category will also be considered for the last one-year period.
Candidates applying for the Team Excellence category should note that the team lead must have been with the organization for a minimum of two years as of March 31, 2025. However, team members may have less than one year of tenure with the organization.

2.	Clinical Excellence Award for Nurses and Paramedics	The Clinical Excellence category recognizes individuals who have demonstrated outstanding performance and proficiency in clinical practice. This category highlights the importance of outstanding clinical skills, dedication to patient care, and contributions to advancing healthcare delivery.	1. Impact/Measurable Outcomes - Consider the effects of the initiative on patient experience, health outcomes, and the nursing community. Analyze the contributions of nurses/ paramedics beyond standard care, the initiative's adaptability by their peers, and its impact on societal advancement. Reflect on the initiative’s contribution to the development of trainees and the promotion of continuous education within the nursing field. 2. Innovation in Clinical Excellence- Evaluate the nurse/ paramedics' identified challenges and their significance. Determine the effectiveness of their strategies in overcoming these hurdles. Assess their capability to mobilize resources such as manpower, infrastructure, and funding to advance the initiative. 3. Patient Care Quality - Implementation of innovative approaches or techniques that improve patient care or streamline processes. Service Excellence	The Service Excellence Award celebrates the extraordinary efforts of employees who excel in interacting with customers - both within the company and outside - by consistently delivering exceptional service. It honours those who truly embrace and exemplify Aster's pledge of "We'll Treat You Well" through their empathetic, courteous, and superior service standards, significantly enhancing the experiences of patients, their loved ones, and various collaborators.	1. Impact on Community - Meaningful contributions to the community through volunteer work, resulting in positive outcomes for individuals or groups served. Tangible evidence of the impact of volunteer efforts, such as improved health outcomes, increased access to healthcare services, or enhanced quality of life for beneficiaries etc. 2. Can I nominate myself?

Yes, individuals can nominate themselves in up to two categories.

Can I nominate a colleague?

Yes, you can nominate your peers/colleagues in or more categories, however, please note that the nominee and the nominator both should have completed more than 2 years in the organization as on March 31, 2025

How do I nominate a colleague?

An individual can nominate a fellow Asterian by clicking on the website link www.drmoopensaward.com.
Nominator will do one time registration on the Award portal with their email ID.
Once the account verification is completed, nominator can login, select the category and start filling the details in the form then submit.
The nominee will then receive an email regarding the nomination.

Can I nominate a colleague from any region?

No, you can only nominate colleagues from the region to which you belong. For example, if your current region is India, you can only nominate colleagues from the Indian region and not from the GCC.

Can I log in using the same details I used for registration in 2024?

No, fresh registrations are required for this edition. Please register using your Oracle Aster Connect ID to access the platform and participate

How can I verify my email/ complete my registration?

After the participant registers on the portal using an Aster email ID, they will receive a verification email containing login credentials. The participant must click the link provided in the email to complete their registration and proceed to the next stage.

Can I use an alternate email ID?

Yes, there is an option to use an alternate email ID in case you are unable to receive the verification email on the official email ID. However, we strongly encourage all participants to use their Aster official email ID for registration. This practice ensures compliance with privacy laws by limiting the collection of personal information. It aligns with data minimization principles and reduces the risk of accessing and storing unnecessary personal data.

What are the guidelines for submitting supporting documents for nominations?

Supporting documents must be provided to substantiate entries or participants' contributions. When handling sensitive patient data, including names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses, ages, medical reports, or mental health records, it is imperative to mask or anonymize this information to safeguard patient privacy.

Can I fill the application form offline and mail it to you later?

Yes, the application form can be downloaded from the offline application form section and should be submitted through the portal only. However, please note that the backend team will require approximately 5 working days to add the offline form to the dashboard for review.

How do I submit an offline form in the system?

Participants should follow the steps below to access and submit the offline application form into the system:

Visit the Award website and complete the registration process.
Log in to the portal using the provided credentials.
Step 1: Select the name of the category you wish to apply for from the dropdown provided.
Step 2: Download the application form of the selected category from the provided table.
Step 3: Upload the completed application form by clicking [here].
Step 4: Click the 'Submit' button to share your application form for the Award.

When do I get to see the uploaded Offline form in the dashboard?

The application form submitted for the Award will be visible to participants after 5 working days. Participants can log in using their credentials to view the filled application form.

How will I know if I have been nominated?

After a nomination is submitted, the nominee will receive an email containing a link to the application portal.

What is my reporting manager’s role in the process?

Your reporting manager plays a crucial role in the process. They have the right to raise any concerns they may have. If you are shortlisted for the next round, the audit partners may reach out to your reporting manager to confirm the initiative details mentioned in your application form.

Who will judge my nomination?

All nominations received will first be screened by the official third-party tabulators and then assigned to the screening jury for the initial evaluation.
The shortlisted entries will then be evaluated by a jury comprising senior leaders from Aster India and the GCC region.
The finalists will be decided based on the evaluation of the grand jury, which consists of both internal and external members.

What is the deadline for submission of entries?

The last date for receiving completed application forms is 15th September, 2025 11:59PM IST.

What do the Award winners receive?

Winners from India will receive a cash prize of INR 5,00,000, and winners from the GCC will be awarded a cash prize of AED 40,000 across six categories of excellence.
The winning prize money for the Team Excellence category will be equally distributed among all team members, including the team lead, for each region.

How many winners will be awarded?

There will be 6 winners from India and 6 winners from GCC.

When will the results be announced?

The results will be announced on the Founder’s Day in December.

Can I withdraw from the nomination process? How do I initiate the withdrawal process?

Yes, you can withdraw from the nomination process, whether you have nominated yourself or have been nominated by someone else. To initiate the withdrawal, you must inform the Award Management and Process Advisors in writing by emailing the contact us email ID. This can be done at any time up to one week before the final Award ceremony, at the discretion of the Award Management

How many categories can I apply for?

Participant can apply in maximum of 2 categories.

Can the form be accessible in other languages?

Yes, the form can be accessed in other languages. Please select your preferred language from the options available in the dashboard

Can previous year’s winners apply for the same category again in the current edition of the Awards?

No. Previous year’s winners in any category are not eligible to apply for the same category in the current edition of the Awards.
